THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE AREA COMMUNITY COLLEGE RELEASE
Danville Area Community College invites the community to celebrate the start of a new academic year at the 4th Annual DACC Block Party on Wednesday, August 5, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The free event will be held in DACC’s main parking lot off Main Street and is open to the public.
Families, prospective students, alumni, and community members are encouraged to attend an evening filled with entertainment, activities, and fun for all ages. Attractions include a zip line, bounce houses, face painting by Lindsey Franz, Joyful Bubbles, a live DJ, and the Danville Public Library’s Book Mobile. Seven local food trucks will also be on-site with a variety of food and refreshments available for purchase.
Guests can also enjoy fun giveaways while learning more about Danville Area Community College’s academic programs, student services, and upcoming opportunities. The Block Party provides an opportunity for current and future students to connect with faculty and staff while enjoying a festive, family-friendly atmosphere.
‘The Block Party has become a great tradition for our campus and community,’ said event coordinator Alexis Simmons. ‘We invite everyone to come out, enjoy a fun evening, and see everything DACC has to offer.’
The event is free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome.
