As we get into the new school year, Project Success of Vermilion County has a load of family events planned. One is happening this Thursday, August 6th, 6 to 8 PM at the Laura Lee Fellowship House on Williams Street. As Jamie Nightlinger of Project Success explains, “Sweet Connections Family Night” is open to any family with students in District 118, free of charge.
AUDIO: Families will be coming together to do cookie decorating; and spending time together. And then we’ll be giving away some family baskets. And there will be some art activities for the kids as well. And also a full dinner from Neil St. Blues.
Other Project Success events this month will be a Thursday night August 20th Family Night at the Palmer Arena, a Family Magic Show Night on Thursday the 27th at Laura Lee; and the big event, 2 to 7 PM Saturday, August 22nd at the Palmer Arena, an “Anti-Violence Back to School Summit” with special activities and speakers.
