As the world is looking back on Dolly Parton’s career this week; a good question would be how many out there remember, or were even there, when Dolly Parton performed at Rossville-Alvin High School; three days before Thanksgiving in 1975.
The show was Monday, November 24th, in the Rossville-Alvin High School Gym. And believe it or not, reserved tickets were $7, and general admission tickets were $5.

In checking Google, other recollections include that Dolly was touring at the time with her “Traveling Family Band,” shortly after parting ways professionally with Porter Wagoner.
