For the second time in the last couple of years, intense heat early in the school year has forced some high school athletes to practice inside for a while. Over at Danville High School, they have definitely been keeping the fieldhouse busy. Vikings football coach Marcus Forrest told CIMG his players have been making the transition, and getting their work in.

AUDIO: They’ve been able to adjust well; just on the fly. The biggest thing is when you’re confident in what you’re doing; it’s not a matter of always having to be outside and hit hard. It’s being able to work on the little things. So with us being able to work on the little things, we’ve really been able to get a lot of confidence this week.
The Danville football team goes into this Friday night’s (Sept 4) game 1-1; playing at Peoria High, who is currently 0-2. Danville’s next home game is next week, Friday the 11th, for Homecoming against Peoria Richwoods.
