A Thursday afternoon graduation ceremony in Room 4A of the Rita B. Garman Vermilion County Courthouse showed once again successful stories that come out of the Vermilion County Drug Court program. The program’s target population is adult men and women who are defendants with a pending felony case or have been found guilty of or have pled guilty to a felony case. Those accepted into the program must be willing to engage in and comply with the treatment and supervision requirements of Drug Court.

Thursday’s ceremony celebrated successful completions of the program by Eric Hardesty, Kasi Phelps, Nick Green, and Nicole Hughes.
The guest speaker was Vermilion County Probation and Court Services Director Stefanie Verando. She mentioned while speaking, and told CIMG afterwards, that she has full confidence in peoples’ ability to change.
