THE FOLLOWING IS A KEEP VERMILION COUNTY BEAUTIFUL RELEASE
DANVILLE, Il. — Keep Vermilion County Beautiful (KVCB), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, is seeking a part-time Executive Director to lead the organization’s core programs and expand its presence throughout Vermilion County.
The position is part-time and year-round, averaging 15 to 20 hours per week, with heavier demands in spring/summer and lighter demands in fall/winter. The Executive Director will report to the Board President and will be responsible for growing membership and volunteer participation, building community relationships through outreach and public presentations, and leading KVCB’s core programs, including Adopt-A-Spot, two annual parades, two electronic recycling drives, the Great American Cleanup, quarterly litter pickups, and the organization’s community grants program. Day-to-day responsibilities also include budget tracking with the Treasurer, grant writing, and monthly reporting to the board.

“This role is about getting KVCB out into every corner of Vermilion County,” said Katie Osterbur, KVCB Board President. “We have been a constant presence in Vermilion County, and we need someone who’s ready to build relationships, grow our membership, and help even more residents get involved in keeping our county clean and beautiful.”
Candidates should be Vermilion County residents with a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, comfortable with public speaking and community relationship-building, and self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in nonprofit work, marketing, grant writing, or community organizing is a plus.
The position is compensated at $15,000 to $20,000 per year depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications, with no benefits.
