DANVILLE, Ill. Mayoral candidate Doug Ahrens will host a series of Ward Conversations throughout Danville in October, giving residents an opportunity to meet him, ask questions and discuss the issues affecting their neighborhoods and the future of our city.
Each gathering will focus on designated wards, though all Danville residents are welcome to attend any of the meetings. The informal format is designed to encourage open conversation and public participation. Discussion of the City’s proposed FY 2027-2028 budget is also anticipated.
“Community engagement is a priority for me because the people of Danville deserve meaningful opportunities to be heard,” Ahrens said. “I’m looking forward to answering questions, hearing what residents are experiencing in their neighborhoods and listening to their ideas and priorities for our city. Good decisions begin with honest conversation and input from the people those decisions affect.”
The Ward Conversations will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on the following dates:
Monday, October 5 David S. Palmer Arena 100 W. Main St., Danville Wards 1 and 2
Monday, October 12 Harrison Park Clubhouse 1300 E. Voorhees St., Danville Wards 5 and 6
Monday, October 19 DACC Bremer Conference Center 2000 E. Main St., Danville Wards 3 and 4
Monday, October 26 Turtle Run Banquet Center, Eagle Room 332 E. Liberty Lane, Danville Ward 7
