THE FOLLOWING IS A CITY OF DANVILLE RELEASE
Danville, October 5, 2026 – In an effort to better serve our community, Danville Mass Transit and Rural Transit have launched a new website designed to make transportation information easier to find and use. Riders can access real-time bus locations and estimated arrival times, review routes and schedules, check fare information, and learn more about the Rider Code of Conduct and reasonable accommodations.
The site also provides information about reduced or free fares available to eligible students, seniors, children, and veterans.
The Rural Transit section guides riders step by step through scheduling transportation with Rural Transit, Paratransit, and Medicaid Transportation. It explains what information to have ready, how far in advance to make a reservation, what to expect at pickup, and what identification or fare materials may be required when boarding. Community members are encouraged to explore the new website to plan a ride, review available services, and find the transportation option that best meets their needs.
