As the revitalization of Lincoln Park’s FRIENDLY TOWN has grown over the past few years, one thing Police Chief Christopher Yates looks forward to every October is the BOO BASH; which is scheduled for this Saturday, October 24th. Chief Yates says this is a chance for all ages from all areas to dress up and come together for some Halloween fun.
AUDIO: Last year was better than the year before, so it keeps growing. And we’ve got a lot of people that are partnering with us,; and there’s going to be a lot of decorations, a lot of candy to be given out, and I hope to see everybody out there. What was neat last year, and the year before, is that you had kids, adults, teenagers; north part, south part, east part, west part; city and county; everybody was out there and everybody was enjoying each other talking. Just a real sense of community there.
This Saturday’s FRIENDLY TOWN “Boo Bash” will be 5 to 7 PM.
