On Wednesdays, we’ll introduce the students who make up Year 11 of High School Confidential, powered by Danville Area Community College. Today: Danville’s Ashanti Conaway.
Sidelined by a serious knee injury suffered in January, Ashanti has remained a steady contributor to the many teams she’s a part of (volleyball, flag football, track, basketball). From attending practice to lending support from her spot on the bench, Ashanti’s leadership has been commendable.
“It’s been really tough but it’s important to keep moving forward,” she said.
The good news: After months of rehab, the Parkland College commit is hoping to resume playing basketball later this month.
