The Berry Cool Market is launching its summer season at the Danville Public Library as part of the library’s Dino Discovery event today, Friday, May 31st. The Berry Cool Market is having a soft opening from 3:30 until 7:30 p.m. It will officially start its weekly market schedule on Saturday, June 8th, with events every Saturday at the Danville Public Library. Those events will run from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. through October.
This year the Berry Cool Market will again feature a mix of produce, other foods, books and art. The Market will also feature weekly live music by the area’s top musicians…along with other demonstrations.
Voted the Best Community Event in Vermilion County in 2023, the market is known for its friendly, family environment. Vendor spots for the market are free, and new vendors are welcome. Entertainment for the opening market on June 8th will be provided by Champaign-Urbana musician John McMahon. Other entertainment already scheduled include Albert King & DJ Nigh (June 15th and July 6th), Fuego Latino (June 22nd and 29th), Ego Trip (July 13th), and Bee Ziegler (July 20th).
