Danville’s VFW Post 728 at 8 Pine Street is getting ready for their annual golf outing for Veterans; set for Saturday, July 13th at Harrison Park Golf Course. The VFW’s Jason Wills recently joined Laura Williams on 1490 WDAN’s Community Connection, and he mentioned that golfers of any and all levels are welcome. He says this is meant to be an enjoyable event, helping Veterans in more ways than one.
AUDIO: I just want everybody to come out and have fun. Because the money that we’re raising; half of it is going to stay at the VFW, and the other half is going to go to the Mission K9 Warriors in Georgetown, for the service dogs that they provide for Veterans.

Registration gets underway at Harrison Park Saturday, July 13th at 8:30, with a shotgun start at 9 AM.
Cost to participate is $80 per golfer, $65 for Harrison Park members. Call the Harrison Park Clubhouse to register a team at 217-431-2286, or contact VFW Post 728 with questions at 217-442-1227.
