On this National Day of Remembrance, a Patriot Day Breakfast at Trinity Lutheran Church in Danville honored area first responders — police
officers, firefighters and emergency medical technicians. Trinity Lutheran School students gave the first responders short letters, in which they
practiced their handwriting, to thank them for their service. The students also got to see emergency vehicles up close.
