The answer is YES, it is time to start talking about holiday music. The Vermilion Festival Chorus is already preparing for their November 23rd “Getting in the Mood for Christmas” concert. Director David Schroeder says they would love to add some new singers; and that all voice parts are needed. He also says the concert in November will have a special variety.
AUDIO: Soprano, alto, tenor, bass; we sing four part music. We’re prepping a segment that is going to have some traditional holiday music in it, as well as a couple upbeat swing things. We’ve got an arrangement of “Getting in the Mood for Christmas, which is a Brian Setzer tune, which is a lot of fun.

The Vermilion Festival Chorus is celebrating their 40th year as Vermilion County’s Community Chorus. Rehearsals are 7 to 8 PM Monday evenings at St. James United Methodist Church. They are also planning a Broadway themed show for next spring.
