THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT RELEASE
The Danville Fire Department is pleased to announce the promotion of Firefighter Tyler Turner to the position of Fire Lieutenant effective October 2, 2024.
Tyler started his career with the Fire Department November 11, 2013. Tyler has served the Danville Fire Department for over 10 years.
Tyler has been assigned to Fire Lieutenant at Fire Station #2 on 3rd Battalion. Serving the cities north end.
Tyler is certified as an Advanced Technician Firefighter, Fire Apparatus Engineer, Fire Instructor I, Hazardous Materials Technician, and Company Fire Officer I.
Lieutenant Turner was also a volunteer firefighter for the Kickapoo Fire Protection District.
Swearing-In Ceremony
The swearing-in ceremony for Lieut. Turner will take place on November 1, 2024, at 9:00 am in the lower chambers of City Hall. Officiated by Mayor Rickey Williams Jr.
