THE FOLLOWING IS A VERMILION COUNTY CONSERVATION DISTRICT RELEASE
Westville, IL – The Vermilion County Conservation District will host Thanksgiving at the Cabin, Forest Glen Preserve on Sunday, November 3 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Step back in time at the Pioneer Homestead Cabin to the 1840s and experience Thanksgiving history through all five senses at this hearth cooking demonstration. Samples of historically inspired foods will be available throughout the event that will be prepared by reenactors using traditional tools. Guests may pick up a recipe list to recreate their favorites at home.
