THE FOLLOWING IS A CITY OF DANVILLE RELEASE
The City of Danville would like to announce that Norfolk Southern Railroad has informed the City they will need to have a complete closure at the Bowman Avenue roadway crossing for construction maintenance.
The closure will begin on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, and it is anticipated to be reopened on Friday, November 8, 2024.
In addition, the closure of the Main Street (US Route 136) Northfolk Southern Railroad crossing closure is scheduled to start during the week of November 11th lasting approximately one week. Motorists should use caution around the work zone and choose an alternate route. Road closure signage will be in place during these closures.
