THE FOLLOWING IS AN ILLINOIS STATE POLICE RELEASE
HOOPESTON – Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 5 agents arrested 24-year-old Connor S. Gilonske of Hoopeston, IL for Possession and Dissemination of Child Sexual Abuse Material.
After receiving a cyber tip, ISP agents began an investigation into the possession and dissemination of child sexual abuse material by Gilonske. On November 7, 2024, ISP agents located and arrested Gilonske in Danville, IL. A subsequent residential search warrant was then executed at Gilonske’s residence in Hoopeston, IL. He is being held at the Vermilion County Public Safety Building pending his first court appearance.
This ongoing investigation is a collaborative effort between the Illinois Attorney General’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Vermilion County Metropolitan Enforcement Group, the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Office, the Danville Police Department, the Vermilion County State’s Attorney’s Office, and ISP.

The charges are not evidence against the defendant, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
