SRM Concrete has announced the acquisition of Fairmount Redi-Mix in Fairmount, Illinois. The acquisition includes a ready-mix batching plant and marks the first SRM Concrete location in Illinois.
SRM Concrete CEO, Jeff Hollingshead stated, “We look forward to batching concrete with our new team members in Fairmount, building on the strong foundation they have established, and serving the Fairmount community with excellence.”
Now operating ready-mix batching plants in 22 states, following this acquisition, SRM Concrete is the largest ready-mix concrete manufacturer in the country with over 8,500 team members.
Established in 1999 by Mike and Melissa Hollingshead in Smyrna, Tennessee, the family-owned company owns and operates an expansive network of ready-mix concrete plants, quarries, cement terminals, and other ancillary services. SRM Concrete focuses on producing and providing building material services across the commercial and residential construction segments.
