Danville Police are seeking help from the public as they continue their investigation into a Saturday afternoon shooting where two people were wounded. Neither suffered life-threatening wounds, according to Joshua Webb, Commander of the Danville Police Criminal Investigation Division. He says police were called to the area of the 1200 block of Koehn Drive just before 12:30 p.m. Saturday on a report of shots fired.
Officers found a 29-year-old Danville man with a gunshot wound to a forearm and a 22-year-old woman who had also been shot in the arm. Commander Webb says the victims reported they had been sitting in their vehicle when someone started shooting at them.
Witnesses said it was a black male who was doing the shooting, and that he got into a red vehicle before fleeing. No other injuries were reported.
