A statement released by the Danville Police Department has announced the arrest of a 17-year-old juvenile in the Saturday afternoon parking lot shooting in the 100 block of Bowman Avenue. Around 2 PM Sunday afternoon (December 1st), with the assistance of the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department, Danville Police arrested the juvenile in the Danville area. The juvenile was charged with Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, and is currently being held at the Juvenile Detention Center.
The Danville Police Department has expressed appreciation for the public’s “willingness to see something and say something. Without cooperation, these cases are very difficult to investigate.”

A statement released by the Danville Police Department states that around 3:15 PM on Saturday, November 30th; the Police Department responded to the 100 block of North Bowman for a report of someone being shot while walking through a parking lot. Upon arrival, authorities found a 51-year-old female victim, who was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where she is reported to be in stable condition.
