ABOVE: Pastor LeStan Hoskins and his wife Jennifer at a 2023 Danville District 118 School Board meeting.
Pastor LeStan Hoskins from Danville’s Mosaic City Church says as the city tries to recover from a tragic Thanksgiving holiday that saw two shooting incidents and a double-murder at a Main Street barber shop still being investigated, we need to be looking at both the immediate and long range future. And a good place for the community to come together is to have no tolerance for violent solutions whatsoever. And as always, if you see anything, speak up.
AUDIO: We need to continue to work with our youth in our community about helping them to avoid violence; and solving problems in a different way. Something that’s more healthy and productive; as opposed to resorting to gun violence or any violence. And I think if we come together as a community and not tolerate any forms of violence; I think those are some of the things we can do. You can, you know, cooperate with law enforcement.
And as we mentioned before, Pastor LeStan Hoskins highly recommends that the community come out to a free movie at 6 PM Thursday evening at the Fischer, THE FORGE. He says it has a message that the community needs right now.
Free THE FORGE Showing; 6 PM Thursday, December 5th at Fischer Theatre
