THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT RELEASE
On Wednesday evening around 9:30 p.m. Danville Police Officers responded to 1800 E. Main Street to check the status of the resident due to a 911 call.
Officers arrived to find the 67-year-old female resident unresponsive with unexplained trauma to her body. The subject was transported to a local hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.
Detectives are currently working the crime scene with the assistance of the Illinois State Police. There are few details known at this time and the Danville Police Department is asking anyone who may have information about this incident to contact 217-431-2250.
