If you are looking for a unique way to have a holiday office party, or if you yourself are simply looking for some unique holiday time food; the place to be is East Central Illinois Community Action Agencies’ “Cultural Celebrations Around the World.” It’s scheduled for Noon to 3 PM this coming Friday, December 13th, at St. James United Methodist Church.
As ECICCA’s Beth Badger explains, this is a very convenient way to get co-workers together.
AUDIO: We provide the food, and the decorations and the atmosphere. And you just come and eat and have a good time, and then walk away. And we do the cleanup, and all of that. We have tables for eight, and we can put tables together if you need.
Badger says there are eight locals involved when it comes to the food for this event. And that’s what really makes it “celebrations around the world.”
AUDIO: The people who have prepared the food have some kind of connection with the locals. And they’re wanting the share the different dishes. We’ve got Germany, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, China, Jamaica…..
