A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for the enchanting Annual Night of Lights Parade and Horse Drawn Carriage Rides. It was a magical evening as Downtown Danville transformed into a winter wonderland, resembling the North Pole itself, brimming with festive joy and sparkling wonder. This event was the perfect grand finale to our 2024 First Fridays Event Series with hundreds in attendance and over 50 floats to marvel at!
The holiday magic began at the corner of Harrison and N Vermilion, where families climbed aboard horse-drawn carriages for a charming ride through our downtown! A special thanks to Fair Hope Farms for providing the whimsical journey, and to the Vermilion County Conservation Foundation for their generous sponsorship!
Next, the air filled with excitement as we staged our dazzling holiday parade floats at Hope Unlimited Church. We are beyond grateful towards the church for opening their doors, offering their warm hospitality, and allowing us to make the night even more special.
A huge thank you to the City of Danville Public Works team for their tireless efforts in setting up road barricades, placing trash barrels, hanging holiday lights throughout downtown, and joining in the parade festivities. Their dedication brought our vision to life!
We also extend our deepest gratitude to our local first responders, including Danville Police Department, Danville Fire Department, Vermilion Co. Sheriff’s Department, and the Honor Guard. Their support kept everyone safe while spreading holiday cheer along the parade route!
We also want to express our sincere appreciation to all the local Danville and Vermilion County businesses who participated in the parade and went above and beyond to make N. Vermilion shine with festive spirit! Their beautiful floats were the perfect way to kick off the holiday season.
We are so grateful to Angela Rossi at Rossi Studios for capturing all the magical moments with their beautiful photos. More photos can be found here on our website!
And now, we look ahead to the first event of 2025: Fire and Ice on January 3rd at 5:00 PM!
Our hearts are full of gratitude for the continuous support of our amazing sponsors. Thank you all for making the 2024 First Fridays Event Series truly unforgettable!
