DANVILLE –Danville Area Community College (DACC) is excited to welcome Dr. Randy Fletcher as the College’s interim president. Dr. Fletcher, a native of Oakwood and graduate of Oakwood High School, is returning to the community and the institution that first sparked his passion for community colleges.
To celebrate Dr. Fletcher’s return, DACC will host a Welcome Reception on Thursday, December 19, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. The event will be held in Vermilion Hall room 306, and all faculty, staff, students, and community members are invited to attend. This is a great opportunity to meet Dr. Fletcher, hear about his vision for DACC, and share in welcoming him back to Vermilion County.
Dr. Fletcher holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His leadership is built on years of experience in higher education, with a strong focus on student success, workforce development, and innovation. “DACC is my home community college, and I take the responsibility of serving as president very seriously,” said Dr. Fletcher. “I’m looking forward to reconnecting with the DACC family and working together to build on its proud history of service and success.”
