Godsmack has shared a teaser for its next music video. The clip, for the song “Unforgettable,” was filmed on February 15th at the SNHU Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire, where Godsmack invited more than 300 students from several different local schools to participate.
Pinkerton Academy student Elliott Lempke said about the event, “It was absolutely insane. Nothing like it. Godsmack is crazy . . . It's really like a dream come true.” Godsmack bassist Robbie Merrill explained, “We wanted to give back to the community. We're from this area.”
The band previously recruited 20 students from Hood Middle School to join the band in the studio during the recording of “Unforgettable.” These same students performed the song live on stage with the band at a show in Gilford, New Hampshire last August. The track is taken from Godsmack's most recent album, 2018's When Legends Rise.
“Unforgettable” comes on the heels of last year's career first for the band as they scored three Number One singles from When Legends Rise, including “Under Your Scars,” “Bulletproof” and the title track.
Drummer Shannon Larkin recently confirmed that Godsmack is working on material for the follow-up to When Legends Rise, since they are unable to tour during the current pandemic.
