The Danville Public Works Department has decided to stop making extra collections because of health risks. Public Works Director Carl Carpenter says crews will continue to collect all normal household garbage on regular collection days. But due to the current health risks no large items or other major or minor set outs will be collected.
The change in policy is effective immediately. Carpenter thanked citizens for their cooperation and understanding.
