OSF’s new Rehab Services Therapy Clinic at 707 North Logan, Suite 201; in the former Polyclinic building; will begin seeing patients this coming Monday, January 20th. After the blessing of the new facility at noon Thursday (Jan 16th), Manager of Rehab Services Ashley Barnes talked about how space across the way at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center was getting limited; and as far back as four years ago, eyes began to notice the second floor at 707 North Logan.
AUDIO: Fifteen – twenty years ago there was a private physical therapy provider here in this space in this building. But this space sat empty for a long time. And about four years ago was when it became on our radar from OSF Rehab. So we came and we looked at this space. The set up is good; it just needed some refreshing, remodeling.

A $140,000 grant from the Vermilion Health Care Foundation helped finalize the move. Foundation Board Chair Jim Anderson says ever since the foundation was created 38 years ago, when Lakeview and St. Elizabeth Hospitals merged into United Samaritans Medical Center, it’s moments like this that the foundation has aimed for.
AUDIO: It’s a long partnership that the foundation has had with the hospital, and this is just the latest chapter in that long standing relationship. It’s wonderful for the community, and it certainly is a service enhancement for the local hospital.
