Wilson notes the turnout for the Consolidated Election in April is usually only about 14-percent of all registered voters. (Only 53 people had cast early votes for the election so far as of Wednesday, March 5, 2025 in the County Clerk’s office. There had also been 51 requests for mail-in ballots.)

It used to be that our office was closed to voting on election day, and the only thing that you could do was go to the polling places and vote. But laws have changed, so I think it’s been the last three or four years now that our office is open the same time the polling places are.”}
Now that Grace Period voting is underway you must vote at the same time you register.
The County Clerk’s office is open from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Monday through Friday. The Danville Election Commission Office is open from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Both offices are located at the Joseph G. Cannon Building at 201 North Vermilion Street in Danville.
