The NJCAA Division II basketball tournament runs all next week at Danville Area Community College. As always, loads of area residents are glad to be part of the event by volunteering for various roles out at Mary Miller Gymnasium. Danville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau CEO Jeanie Cooke says that as always, Danville and Vermilion County have stepped up to the plate. But they could always use more, so make a quick call to the bureau at 800-383-4386 if you’re interested.
AUDIO: We could use a little help; although as usual, Danville really steps up when it’s needed. So, Monday’s going to be here before we know it!
Cooke says just one example is the busy hospitality room providing food for all the workers; let alone giving the hospitality room workers an occasional break!
AUDIO: We take care of that; so it needs volunteers in that because it’s open, of course, from early morning when it starts, until the last game in the evening.
