Danville, IL – March 13, 2025 – United Way of Danville Area is excited to announce its upcoming culinary fundraiser, “United We Cook,” set to take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the David S. Palmer Arena. This unique event will feature 100 local volunteer chefs preparing and serving bite-sized versions of their signature dishes, offering attendees an evening of diverse culinary delights.
Each $50 general admission ticket grants guests access to sample a wide array of creative bites crafted by passionate community members. The evening will also include a cash bar and tip jars, allowing attendees to support their favorite chefs and directly contribute to the United Way’s mission. All proceeds from the event will benefit the United Way of Danville Area, supporting 20 agencies and 27 programs within the community.
“United We Cook is more than just a culinary event; it’s a celebration of community spirit and collaboration,” said Angie Lazzell, CEO of United Way of Danville Area. “We’re thrilled to bring together local chefs, businesses, and residents to support initiatives that make a lasting impact in our region.”

Please note that the Palmer Arena has implemented a clear bag policy; purses and backpacks must be clear and of a certain size, and patrons will be required to pass through metal detectors upon entry.
