Danville, IL – July 22, 2025 – The fairways are calling! The 11th Annual American Legion State Golf Tournament returns to Danville, Illinois, on Saturday and Sunday, August 2–3, 2025, bringing together golf enthusiasts, veterans, and community members for a weekend of spirited competition and camaraderie.
Hosted by the City of Danville and American Legion Post 210, this prestigious two-day event will take place at the scenic Harrison Park Golf Course and Turtle Run Golf Club, known for their challenging layouts and beautiful views. Golfers from across the state will compete in a four-person scramble on Saturday at 9AM and switch courses on Sunday with a Shotgun starting at 9AM. Entry fee includes both golf rounds, cart fees, a tee prize, Saturday Night Dinner at the Post 210 Legion and prize money.
“This tournament is more than just a game,” said Bob Balla, Commander at Legion Post 210. “It’s a celebration of service, sportsmanship, and community. We’re proud to host it here in Danville, where the spirit of the Legion and the love of golf come together.”

Location: Harrison Park Golf Course and Turtle Run Golf Club, Danville, IL
Opening Ceremonies: Harrison Park Golf Club, Saturday, August 2 @ 8:00AM. The American Legion Riders will be present and there will be a presentation of colors, and National Anthem. The Danville American Legion Post 210 Honor Guard and other area Post Honor Guards will present the colors and there will be a Fly-over.
Format: Four-person scramble on Saturday, Shotgun on Sunday
