THE FOLLOWING IS A BISMARCK LIONS CLUB RELEASE
Bismarck, Illinois – On Saturday, August 2, 2025, Bismarck Lions served over 1000 people at the high school in Bismarck at their Annual Jonah Fish Fry. John Bodensteiner, Bismarck Lions Club President, noted that, “this is truly a community event as people love to come and visit other community members. The tables were full of laughter and talking with attendees. Bismarck is the place to be on that day.” Funds donated will be put back into the community. Some of the ways the Bismarck Lions Club serves the area include through the Bismarck Lions Club Park, providing scholarships, and preschool vision screenings. Money raised on August 2 will allow Lions to meet pressing needs in our county such as our preschool vision screenings, through the purchase of a plusoptix machine for use at the screenings. Bismarck Lions members thank everyone who contributes to this important work. You are truly helping Lions make a difference.
Chartered in 1956, the Bismarck Lions Club will be soon celebrating 70 years of service in January 2026. The public is invited to design a T-shirt for the anniversary. Entries can be mailed by October 1, 2025, to P.O. Box 134, Bismarck, Illinois 61814. The entries become the property of the Bismarck Lions Club. The winner will receive a free T-Shirt.
The Bismarck Lions Club meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 7pm. Lions clubs are a group of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs.
