A reminder that a free electronics collection event is taking place on Saturday, (September 13, 2025) at Danville Area Community College.
(The college is located at 2000 East Main Street in Danville.)
The event is from 8:30 until 11:00 a.m. and is open to Vermilion County residents only. You are asked to take proof of residency with you.
Again, the event is free, however donations will be accepted to help with future events by Keep Vermilion County Beautiful.
Items accepted include: CRT or tube televisions, flat screen or LCD televisions; CRT monitors, flat screen or LCD monitors; cell phones; also computers, printers, electronic keyboards, fax machines, VCRs, portable digital music players, video disc players, video game consoles, electronic mice, scanners, converter boxes, cable receivers, satellite receivers, or video disc recorders, microwaves, Tablets/E-Readers, and computer speakers.
Items that are NOT accepted include: batteries, battery containing devices, bulbs, capacitors, Gasy Cylinders, liquids, medical waste, ballasts, radioactive waste, smoke detectors, and vape pens.
Please remove all batteries from devices. There is a limit of seven items per vehicle.
The free electronic event is being sponsored by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, Danville Area Community College, the Vermilion County Health Department, Vermilion County Illinois, and Keep Vermilion County Beautiful.
