DANVILLE — The Danville school district’s business and finance director said she was “blindsided” by her dismissal this week and claims she is being retaliated against due to her relationship with ousted Superintendent Alicia Geddis.
Eight months after cutting ties with Geddis, the school board voted without comment this week to remove Narcissus Rankin from her position, effective immediately.
Rankin, who’d served in the position for five years, spoke at the start of Wednesday night’s board meeting during public comment, addressing what she described as “defamatory” allegations raised in a letter she received Oct. 16 from Geddis’ successor, John Hart.
