American Legion Post 210 in Danville; located at 201 Prospect Place, just off Jackson Street; is getting ready for a busy Veterans Day on Tuesday, November 11th.
The bar will open at 11 AM, with a free chili meal being served to Veterans starting at 11:30 AM. The entire community is welcome, with non-Veterans being able to enjoy the chili for a free-will donation.
The chili will be served until around 7 PM, or until it runs out. Post 210 says about 125 Veterans were served last year. In addition, after the chili meal, American Legion Post 210 will be having their regular Tuesday night raffle.
Also on Veterans Day, the annual ceremony at the Danville Vietnam and Korean War Memorial on North Hazel Street will begin at 11:11 AM.
