‘The Giving Fence’ is back in Danville helping keep some people in need warm this fall and winter. The Danville Area Chapter of Credit Unions sponsors the fence which allows people to drop off winter coats, hats and other winter gear by hanging it on a fence located along West Main Street. It is next to the municipal parking lot along West Main Street near Walnut Street. The lot is just north of the David S. Palmer Civic Center.
(Some empty hangers remain where items have been picked up.)
All items being donated should be placed in plastic bags to protect them from the weather. The Danville Chapter of Credit Unions is inviting people to ‘Take What You Need and Leave What You Can’.
