DANVILLE — Thanksgiving marks when a triple shooting and double homicide at a barbershop on the city’s east side occurred last year.
A Danville man arrested in the case has pleaded not guilty, and little else has been released in the case.
Keshawn J. Cotton, 21, was charged last month with first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm by the Vermilion County State’s Attorney’s Office.
A pre-trial is scheduled next month.

In collaboration with Vermilion County State’s Attorney Jacqueline Lacy, the Danville Police Department said officers arrested Cotton in connection with the double homicide that occurred Nov. 27, 2024, in the 1000 block of East Main Street. Killed that day were 33-year-old Keith G. Stone of Danville and a 17-year-old juvenile, whose name has not been released. A third victim also had sustained injuries but was released from the hospital.
