THE FOLLOWING IS AN ILLINOIS STATE POLICE RELEASE
PESOTUM – Illinois State Police (ISP) Troop 7 Captain Heather Apperson announces the results of Special Traffic Enforcement Patrols (STEPs) held in Champaign, Macon and Vermilion counties during November. STEPs allow the ISP to focus on the fatal four violations that contribute to the majority of traffic crashes and fatalities: impaired driving, occupant restraint, speeding, and distracted driving.
