The Downtown Danville First Fridays event for December is once again the “Night of Lights Parade,” and it all begins at 6 PM Friday evening, December 5th. Danville Community Relations Administrator Rheanna Ollis and Community Relations Coordinator Lindsey Franz recently joined Tommy B on D102’s The Big Show. Franz says, yes, horse drawn carriage rides will once again be part of the big day; adding to the traditional parade.
AUDIO: It goes through downtown starting at the intersection of Williams and Vermilion; and it will head south through downtown. If you want to come hang out downtown; and enjoy the cold weather, the snow, the lights downtown; you can come and ride horse drawn carriages from 1 to 5 PM. They will be stationed on Harrison Street, right by the Fischer Theatre.

And as Rheanna Ollis reminds us; there will be something to drink, for kids and adults.
AUDIO: We have hot chocolate available at the Fischer Theater as well, free of charge. And then, I know that the Fischer is also serving adult beverage hot chocolate. That’s for you adults that might be hanging around!
Over 50 floats are scheduled for the Night of Lights Parade. To hear all of Tommy B’s talk with Rheanna Ollis and Linsday Franz, please go to https://vermilioncountyfirst.com/big-show-bites-podcast/
