The busy Danville area weekend that included the Night of Lights Parade and Van Dyke Fest at the Fischer Theatre may be over, but the City of Danville’s Holiday Bazaar at Harrison Park Clubhouse is coming up this Friday the 12th and Saturday the 13th.
Danville Community Relations Administrator Rheanna Ollis and Community Relations Coordinator Lindsey Franz recently joined Tommy B on D102’s The Big Show. They both reminded everyone that this bazaar will once again offer its usual “cozy hospitality feeling;” with about 20 vendors selling very unique items. There will be plenty of handcrafts, plenty of treats, and breakfast and lunch will be available as well. As Lindsey Franz explains, this year’s bazaar is being run by someone you just might recognize from the Aquatics Center at Garfield Park.
AUDIO: We’re really thankful to Jessica Lively, our Community Health and Wellness Manager. She has taken on this event on her own this year. We’re really thankful for her. She has brought all of the craft vendors in for this event, has organized food to be served there as well; so (we’re really thankful for her.
Rheanna Ollis adds that just coming to the bazaar to see the updates at Harrison Park Clubhouse would be very worthwhile.
AUDIO: The cool little note of this is that Public Works has been working really hard on remodeling, and kind of getting Harrison Park Clubhouse back to it’s original “form,” I guess is how to put it. So they’ve reopened the carport section that was in the back. So if you haven’t checked out Harrison Park, and all the work that they’ve been putting into it; well then definitely come out, and check out Harrison Park for that historical reason. We know we have so many people that love the historical buildings in town.
The times for Danville’s Holiday Bazaar at Harrison Park Clubhouse are this Friday the 12th, 10 AM to 7 PM; and this Saturday the 13th, 9 AM to 3 PM.
