DANVILLE — The city has received a second blow this week as another big employer announced employee cuts.
On the same day Hyster-Yale Materials Handling said it will be moving its Danville Parts Distribution Center to Indiana next year — leaving its 220 employees scrambling — McLane Company Inc. made public a “difficult decision.”
“Yesterday, McLane announced that we are making adjustments to staffing levels at our Danville facility based on current business needs,” said Alicia Downard, director of communications and public relations.
Further information wasn’t released, including the number of employees affected.
