DANVILLE — After about a year of renovations, the former New Holland Apartments on North Vermilion Street will be making its debut as The Verander.
Macy Kuhl, COO of Bedrock Property Management, which now manages the building, says she hopes construction will be finished in the next month or so at the historic low-income-housing building at 324 N. Vermilion St., west of the Danville Public Library.
Crosspoint Human Services sold the building about a year ago, and the new owners, New Holland Redevelopment LLC of Kenosha, WI/Bear Development, started construction work soon after.
Kuhl said Crosspoint had been wanting to sell the building for a while, as it wanted to focus more on its core missions on mental health and developmental services.
