Rubber Ducky Readers: Join this fun Beanstack Challenge! For every 10 books read, the child will get a rubber duck, every 100 books equal a book, a sticker and a certificate, 1000 books equal a goody bag filled with a book, a sticker, a completion certificate, a stuffed animal, a blow-up rubber duck, etc. This challenge is for ages 0-6. December 30: Teen Universal Yums. Ready to snack your way around the world? Each month, teens can explore a different country through its unique treats, fun trivia, and music from that culture. This month: Season’s Eatings from the Globe! It’s a flavorful, interactive experience you won’t want to miss! 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm in the 2nd Floor Conference Room. Ages 13-19.
December 30: Tween It! Tuesdays. Fun programs for tweens each Tuesday. This week: Board Game Night. Play your favorite game with your friends. 5:00 PM in the Program Room. Ages 8-12.
December 30: Wee Wigglers Story Time. Join us for action rhymes, stories, and songs for children ages 5 and under. Tuesdays at 10:00 am in the Program Room.
December 31: CLOSING AT 4 PM
December 31*: Teen Crafternoons. Stop by on Wednesday afternoons for an hour of fun, hands-on craft. This week: New Year’s Eve Wish Craft. No registration needed, just bring your creativity and hang out! *3:00 – 4:00 PM on the 2nd Floor. Ages 13-19. Note time change due to early closure.
December 31*: Teen Writing Club. Come write, chill, and connect. No pressure – just good vibes, cool ideas, and a space to be creative. Journals and pens will be provided for our teen writers, along with writing prompts and snacks to fuel your mind. *3:00 pm – 4:00 pm in the 2nd Floor Conference Room. Note time change due to early closure.
December 31: Wordy Wednesdays. Puzzle lovers, mark your calendars! Every Wednesday, head on up to the 2nd floor Reference Desk for a variety of word puzzles. Available anytime during our regular business hours.

January 2: Winter Reading Kick-Off! Join us as we launch Pixels & Pages: Winter Reading Challenge with a fun-filled evening! Make pixel portrait crafts, watch a video game–themed movie starting at 6 PM, and sign up for the Winter Reading Challenge starting January 5! 5:30 – 8:00 PM in the Howard Rutan Meeting Room.
January 3: Senior Social Hour. Seniors, join us on the first Saturday of every month, for a chance to have coffee and play games together. 9 am to 10 am in the 2nd Floor Conference Room.
January 3: Sensory and Bilingual Story Adventures. A unique programming experience combining bilingual storytelling with sensory-friendly activities, designed to engage children of all abilities. This inclusive program creates a welcoming space where stories come to life through interactive elements, fostering language development and sensory exploration in a fun and supportive environment. Saturdays at 11:00 AM in the Children’s Department.
