Monday, January 5, 2026 –
Danville Noon Rotary held a ceremony at St. James United Methodist Church in Danville, Illinois for presentation of the 2025 Vocational Service Award. The 2025 winner is DACC Foundation Executive Director, Tonya Hill. The ceremony began with an introduction of guests by Rotary President, Terri Cummings. Dr. Ronald Serfoss then recognized the past Vocational Service Award recipients who were in attendance. Terri Cummings introduced Tonya Hill as the 2025 Vocational Service Award winner and Stephanie Yates shared the narrative from her award nomination.

After hearing remarks from Tonya Hill, Dr. Donald Rokosch presented her with the Paul Harris Fellowship Award. Proclamations from the Illinois House of Representatives were presented by State Representative Brandun Schweizer, the Illinois 52nd Senate District by State Senator Paul Faraci and the City of Danville by Mayor Rickey Williams Jr. all of whom shared their congratulatory remarks and appreciation. Mayor Williams even declared January 5 to be Tonya Hill Day. “Tonya Hill exemplifies the very spirit of Rotary’s commitment to vocational service- using one’s skills, passion, and influence to make a positive difference. We are proud to recognize her today and grateful for the countless ways she continues to serve our community,” stated Rotary President Terri Cummings.
