The Fischer Theatre will be showing Lady and the Tramp at 2 PM this coming Sunday, February 8th. Entry is free, but pajama donations are encouraged. Fair Hope Children’s Ministry, located at 1225 East Voorhees, will be bringing their “Operation Good Night” pajama drive to the movie showing. Fair Hope’s Karel Volpert told CIMG that a good night’s sleep in good pajamas can help children be ready for the next day; be it in school or whatever they have scheduled. She says sleep wear for all ages are needed.
AUDIO: New born through high school age pajamas; and high schoolers often wear adult pajamas, so adult pajamas are fine too. We provide one pair of pajamas for each child at every appointment, so we’re hoping to get 400 pair of pajamas at this drive.
This drive goes all through February, so you can also drop off donations at Fair Hope’s East Voorhees location; for new pajamas, or cash donations as well. If your children need clothing from Fair Hope Children’s Ministry; you can be referred by your school, a social service agency, or by your pastor.

Fair Hope Children’s Ministry’s Debbie Krilcich says having pajamas on hand is very important year ’round.
AUDIO: Pajamas are like a treat to the children when they come in. Because usually they’re sleeping in shorts or just a t-shirt, or something like that. So when they come here, and they get a brand new pair of pajamas, it’s a special thing for them.
The Fischer Theatre doors will open at 1 PM this Sunday, with raffle tickets for donated gift baskets set to be sold from 1 to 1:50 PM. Drawings for the baskets will be held right after the movie. You will need to be present to win, or you can give someone your ticket to hold for you if you have to leave right away.
