Danville, IL — The Downtown Danville District is celebrating new energy and investment with the opening of three new businesses this winter and spring, further strengthening the district’s role as a hub for shopping, dining, creativity, and community connection.
Downtown Danville Inc. is excited to announce the opening of Silk and Spine, LAF Design, and the upcoming Bresee Bar and Grill, each bringing a unique experience downtown and contributing to increased foot traffic and small business growth within the district.

Silk and Spine is a thoughtfully curated boutique and bookstore offering a blend of unique apparel, gifts, and literary finds. Designed as a welcoming space for readers, shoppers, and creatives alike, the store features carefully selected books, artisan goods, and boutique items that encourage discovery and connection. Silk and Spine adds a warm, lifestyle-focused destination to the heart of downtown Vermilion Street.

LAF Design and Art Studio
LAF Design and Art Studio is a creative space dedicated to design, artistic expression, and hands-on experiences. Join them for a first look at the studio’s colorful space, home to future art classes, parties, and creative events. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the owner, Lindsey Franz, and learn more about the freelance art services she offers. Enjoy sweet treats, light refreshments, and a fun mini art project to stop and enjoy while celebrating the arrival of a new creative space in our community. The highly anticipated Bresee Bar and Grill will bring new dining options to downtown Danville with a menu designed to appeal to all-day visitors. Guests can look forward to:

Casual, approachable comfort food in a welcoming atmosphere
Flat Screens to watch your favorite sport team
Bresee Bar and Grill will add another anchor dining destination, supporting longer stays downtown and expanded dining choices for residents and visitors.
