The number of confirmed cases of people in Vermilion County diagnosed with COVID-19 coronavirus is now 14. Vermilion County Health Department Administrator Douglas Toole says the latest person who tested positive is a county resident in their twenties who is hospitalized.
The Illinois Department of Public Health announced 2,119 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state Saturday (April 25, 2020), including 80 additional deaths since Friday.
Toole had announced Friday that two new cases had been found in Vermilion County – including a pre-school aged child and someone in their thirties. Toole said the cases are apparently not connected, and that neither is currently hospitalized.
The Illinois Department of Public Health announced Saturday afternoon that 41,777 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus has been diagnosed statewide since the counting period began this spring. And there have been 1,874 deaths in 96 of Illinois’ 102 counties
