Danville Police are treating the death of a man found Saturday morning (April 25, 2020) in a local yard as a homicide. Police Commander Joshua Webb says officers responded to the area of the 1600 block of Ray Street shortly after 10:00 a.m. on a report of a homeowner finding someone unresponsive laying in his yard.
Police say the man who had been found was dead, and had suffered what appeared to be gunshot wounds. Danville Police are working with the Vermilion County Coroner’s Office in attempts to identify the victim.
